Venue History

The Fillmore Minneapolis opened its doors in 2020, but its musical roots stretch back much further than that. This state-of-the-art space is named for the original Fillmore in San Francisco, which became immensely popular thanks to the efforts of legendary promoter Bill Graham.

Graham perished in a helicopter accident in 1991, and in 2007, Live Nation took over the Fillmore name and venue. More than a decade later, The Fillmore made its way to Minneapolis. It’s one of eight Fillmore venues nationwide.

Country superstar Brandi Carlisle was the first to perform at the newly opened Fillmore Minneapolis in February 2020. Other performers that propelled The Fillmore Minneapolis to fame include Motion City Soundtrack, The Revivalists, and $uicideBoy$.
